Thank you for helping us raise $2,500 for Girls Education International

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

Madaleine and I want to express our heartfelt thanks to all the incredible people we met on The MAD Tour journey. We raised approximately $2,500 for Girls Education International (www.girlsed.org). Plus, we have people doing additional fund-raisers, including one in the DC area June 29th. We especially want to thank our sponsors, who donated thousands of dollars worth of equipment for the live and silent auctions we did at the shows: Evolv donated six pairs of shoes, Rab donated a plethora of really nice rain and wind jackets, Maxim ropes donated a copule great ropes, Sierra Designs/Kelty donated deluxe backpacks, and Stonewear Designs donated some great clothing and hats. Thanks also to all the people who attended our events and bought things at the auction and also to our hosts in DC, NY, MI, OH, and Toronto. I will be posting a more extensive multi-media press release in the near future. In the meantime, enjoy these two videos I made along the way.

The first is a video interview with Kris “Odub” Hampton, an Evolv athlete, rapper, climber and all-around nice guy. The second is a video of Madaleine climbing a 5.11d called “Persistence” at Lost Cities in the Gunks. Good stuff!
